Read the June edition of Home & Living magazine online now
Welcome to the June 2025 issue of Home & Living!

In the June edition you will find creative ideas that embrace everything June has to offer – sun drenched interiors, airy textiles and colour palettes that cool the senses. It also explores how to create indoor sanctuaries that feel light and beautifully Mediterranean, planning a kitchen renovation and how to build your own living wall plant for your outside space as well as tips on improving your holiday home for guest rentals. And pets aren’t forgotten either, with practical advice on preparing your family for a “furry” addition to the family.
June is the time the heat starts to “kick in” so take a look at page 10 where you’ll find some great suggestions on drinks to keep you hydrated.
If you’re already driving in Spain or thinking of bringing your car over for a holiday, there are a few driving rules that may surprise you! You’ll find top 5 lesser known facts about driving in Spain on page 14. Check them over to potentially avoid getting into trouble with the authorities here.
And men – yes, we’re talking to you guys, turn to page 25 to discover how, in just 5 minutes a day, in as little as 7 days, your skin will look fresher, feel more comfortable and help avoid many of the common issues men face, from shaving irritation to dry patches and early ageing.
Check out the tips on swapping harsh, chemical laden cleaning products for natural cleaning methods that are better for the environment, safer for children and pets, and kinder to our health. Most of us have heard about using the white vinegar and lemon tricks, but who would have thought other great products to use (and probably already in your cupboards), would include banana peel, uncooked rice, cornflour and tea? Oh, and vodka... although you may want to save that to go with the leftover lemons you’ve used at the end of the cleaning routine! Turn to page 38 if you like the sound of that.
Don’t forget that Airport Buses’ brand-new airport shuttle service is now operational so if you’re looking for a no stress way of getting to and from Corvera International Airport, turn to page 39 to see their routes.
Remember to check out the “What’s On” feature – essential if you don’t want to miss charity events, music nights, bingo meetings, markets, group gatherings, local and national holidays, fiestas, drama performances, church services etc.
At some stage, everyone needs a builder, emergency electrician, translator, accountant, gardener, car mechanic, insurance company, legal services, property sales/management company or removal company, to name a few. Visit the Home & Living Business Directory to find what you need and don’t forget to mention where you found them!
And finally, as summer is almost upon us, and the layers and jeans start to be replaced with shorts, t-shirts and swimwear, you’ll find some great ideas on page 44 on how to transform that un-interesting and un-used garage into a no-fuss gym, to firm up any wobbly bits and lose a few calories to allow you to fit back in to last year’s summer wardrobe.
All this and much more in June’s issue of Home & Living!
