October 12 Annual fiestas in the Aguilas district of Las Lomas
Music on the seafront in Águilas on the National Day of Spain
Thursday October 12 is the National Day of Spain and is therefore a public holiday, and in the Águilas district of Las Lomas, in the west of the town, the occasion is marked this year by the annual local fiestas in the Plaza Fernando Rey.
The schedule for the day includes the following:
19.00: Live music from Verónica Moreno, performing Spanish songs, pasodobles, rumbas, sevillanas and boleros.
20.00: The presentation of the plaque to the 2023 Neighbour of the Year.
21.00: Live music from Juanjo Aparicio, paying tribute to Raphael, Il Divo and Camilo Sexto.
22.30: Live music from Belén Agulló paying tribute to Mecano, Azúcar Moreno, Chenoa, Celine Dion and La Quinta Estación.
Throughout the evening a bar will be open alongside an exhibition by the esparto grass weavers of Águilas.
