ARCHIVED - February 18 Pet Carnival and Child Carnival costume competitions in Mazarron
Take part in the Carnival costume competition with your dog or kids this Saturday
On Saturday February 18 from 11am, there will be Carnival activities for the whole family and their pets to enjoy in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Mazarrón.
The Departments of Youth and Animal Welfare have organised costume contests and activities for this Saturday, aimed specifically at young people and pets.
Pet Carnival Mazarrón 2023
Dress up with your pet and take part in the costume competition. There will be prizes for the most original costume, the most elaborate costume and the best pet-owner combo costume, and token prizes will be awarded to everyone for participating.- 11am – 2pm: Animal protection and association stand set up for people to come by and get information
- 11am – 2pm: Games workshop and facepainting by volunteers from the Red Cross
- 11.30am – 12pm: Parade of participants on the catwalk and prize giving
- 12pm – 1pm: Pet workshops using recycled materials
Children’s Carnival Mazarrón 2023
Put on your best costume and take part in the fancy-dress contest. Again, there will be prizes for the most original costume, the most elaborate costume and the best group costume, and diplomas for all participants.- 11am – 2pm: Games workshop and facepainting by volunteers from the Red Cross
- 12pm – 1pm: Children’s workshops using recycled materials
- 1pm – 1.30pm: Parade of participants on the catwalk and prize giving
To register for either the Pet costume contest or the Children’s costume contest, send your name, telephone number and costume idea to asociacionoxigenarte@gmail.com before 12 noon on Friday February 17.
Mazarrón’s Councillor for Youth and Animal Welfare, Silvia García, said it will be a chance “to enjoy a carnival morning with the family, with carnival workshops held using recycled materials and games for the little ones to enjoy this colourful festival.”
