Click HereHot on the heels of the annual fiestas of the Virgen del Milagro, which are based in Bolnuevo but also include the town and port of Mazarrón, come the annual fiestas to celebrate the holy day of the Immaculate Conception, known in the municipality as “La Purísima”.
The program for the 2023 fiestas includes a series of live concerts and other entertainment at the La Aceña sports centre, among them a “Festival Superlatino”, a 2000s party, a show by Unrisen Queen and a representation of La Sirenita (The Little Mermaid).
Among the highlights of the ten days of the fiestas, which include the national holidays on December 6 and 8, are the following:
Thursday November 30
21.30: The official opening speech is given by television and radio journalist Encarna Talavera at the Centro Parroquial, after which the historic Casino of Mazarrón will be officially reopened after the recent renovation and refurbishment project.
Friday December 1
22.00: Unrisen Queen perform a tribute show to Freddie Mercury and the rest of the legendary rock group at the La Aceña sports centre. Admission free of charge.
Saturday December 2
22.00: Gala to crown the Queen of the Fiestas, featuring Lorena Gómez, a winner on TV’s Operación Triunfo talent show, at the La Aceña sports centre. Admission free of charge.
Sunday December 3
17.30: La Sirenita (The Little Mermaid), children’s musical show at the La Aceña sports centre. Admission free of charge.
Tuesday December 5
22.00: La Pegatina in concert at the La Aceña sports centre. Tickets 10 euros.
Wednesday December 6
22.00: Comedy with Anticoach Tian Lara at the La Aceña sports centre. Admission free of charge.
Thursday December 7
22.00: Rock music performed by the Asociación Musical Maestro Eugenio Calderón at the La Aceña sports centre. Admission free of charge.
Friday December 8
22.00: Festival Superlatino at the La Aceña sports centre with Henry Méndez, Fabbio, Dr Bellido and Javi Guzmán. Tickets 5 euros, doors open 21.00.
Saturday December 9
22.00: “Molan los 2000” festival at the La Aceña sports centre, celebrating the music of the first 10 years of the millennium, with Fran Perea, Soraya, David Civera, Fórmula Abierta and Raúl. Tickets 10 euros, doors open 21.30.
Tickets for all events are available on Saturday November 25 at the La Aceña sports centre and at the tourist office in Puerto de Mazarrón, opening hours 10.00 to 14.00 and 18.00 to 20.00. As of Monday November 27 they can be acquired only at the La Aceña sports centre between 18.00 and 20.00.
