May 28-June 9 Murcia de Tapas is back with 42 places to try for €3.50

Grab a cold Estrella de Levante and explore tapas bars across the city centre

Murcia’s streets are about to get even livelier as the city gears up for its next “Murcia de Tapas” festival. Promoted by Estrella de Levante, the event will run from May 28 to June 9 in the city centre, bringing together 42 bars and restaurants for a two week celebration of local flavours and hospitality.

For nearly two weeks, each participating venue will offer a signature tapa paired with a small bottle of Estrella de Levante beer for just €3.50. If you want to stretch the experience, you can upgrade to a 33 cl bottle of Estrella de Levante Reserva 60 for just €0.50 extra, making the total only €4. It is a simple way to enjoy something tasty while keeping an eye on your budget.

The event also offers a fun extra: from May 26-29, the Gastronosfera website is hosting a pre event prize draw where visitors can win a booklet for 10 free drinks to use during the route. Later in the week, the same platform lets people vote for their favourite tapa. The tapa with the most votes will receive an audience award, and a €350 getaway for two, including accommodation, dinner and access to the spa at the Hotel Balneario de Archena, will be raffled among everyone who takes part in the voting.

The full list of venues and their tapas is already available on the Gastronosfera website, so you can plan your route in advance. The 42 spots include a mix of classic bars, cafés and restaurants across the city centre.

So, whether you live in or around Murcia or are just visiting, the festival is a chance to stroll through the centre, try something new and enjoy a relaxed evening out. Estrella de Levante says it wants to support local businesses and help keep the city centre buzzing as summer approaches, and “Murcia de Tapas” is fast becoming one of the most popular gastronomic events in the region.
