German exchange students visit Torre Pacheco

The students have come to Torre Pacheco as part of the ERASMUS exchange programme

13 German students and their two teachers from the town of Essen, Germany, have arrived in Torre Pacheco for an exhange programme. The mayor of Torre Pacheco, Pedro Ángel Roca, and the Councillor for Education, Sunci Pedreño, welcomed the students as they arrived in the Murcia town.

The German students have come to Torre Pacheco to learn Spanish and also to immerse themselves in the culture of the Region.

Murcia offers a rich cultural history and brilliant experiences for all to enjoy, and the students are ready to enjoy and partake in all the area has to offer.

The German students will be spending time in the houses of their counterparts of the exchange programme to experience how Spanish families live.

The head of studies at the IES Luis Manzanares high school and coordinator of the Erasmus programme, Mamen González, has reported that throughout this week the students will carry out nautical and musical activities and cultural visits to various municipalities in the Region.

Such an itinerary is certain to keep the students busy and is bound to create a productive atmosphere for the students. One mother of a student from the school in Torre Pacheco, who is hosting a German student, even emphasised the great rapport between the two students who have found a common communication through their use of English.
