Sunny skies and warm nights: Andalucía weather forecast July 28-31

A settled week with high temperatures inland and a gentle breeze along the coast

After a brief dip in temperatures, Andalucía is heading into another hot and mainly sunny week. Inland areas can expect the mercury to rise sharply during the day, while coastal spots will enjoy cooler conditions thanks to light sea breezes.

Most of the region will remain dry, though there could be some cloud building over the mountains later in the afternoons, especially midweek.

It’s a classic summer’s day across Andalucía, with clear blue skies from Huelva to Almería. A little early morning mist might drift in along the Mediterranean coast but will soon burn off. Temperatures will edge up slightly in inland cities like Córdoba, with highs of 36°C expected, while places like Cádiz may see a slight dip in the afternoon heat. Winds will be mostly light and variable, turning easterly along the Med later on. A moderate westerly Poniente wind will keep things breezy through the Strait around Tarifa.

Tuesday stays largely sunny across the region, though there’s a chance of afternoon cloud gathering over the eastern sierras near Granada. The Guadalquivir Valley will continue to swelter, with high temperatures lingering around 37°C in Seville. Elsewhere, temperatures will ease slightly, giving a bit of welcome relief. Along the coast, expect a light easterly breeze in Almería, picking up through the Strait as the day wears on and becoming quite gusty by evening.

Midweek brings more sunshine with occasional low cloud around the Mediterranean side, particularly near Málaga. Inland, the west will warm up again, Huelva could see temperatures climbing into the mid-30s, while the rest of the region holds steady. Cloud may build again in the afternoon around the hills near Jaén, with a slim chance of a stray shower. Winds stay light and variable in most places but could turn stronger from the east around Almería and the Strait.

A stable high-pressure system keeps Andalucía mostly dry and settled, but it could turn a little more unstable inland later in the day. Expect sunny spells across the board, though some afternoon cloud and even dry storms could crop up around the Sierra Morena and eastern ranges. Temperatures remain high, particularly in inland areas like Granada, which could reach 35°C. Overnight, the air stays warm along the coast and in low-lying inland areas, not dipping much below 20°C. A strong Levante will blow through the Strait and Tarifa, while lighter breezes from the south and east keep things comfortable elsewhere.

Looking ahead there will be plenty of sunshine and summer warmth across Andalucía, with light winds and the odd afternoon cloud - just what we expect from July.
