Sevilla airport unveils summer schedule with new international flights
Across Spain, airlines have scheduled 246.8 million seats this coming summer season

The summer season in Spain, which runs until October 25, is expected to be busier than ever with 246.8 million airplane seats scheduled to depart and arrive at airports up and down the country. Of these, 6.6 million are destined for Sevilla airport, with no fewer than 36,200 flights planned this summer.
Meanwhile, Jet2 will operate new flights between the UK and Jerez starting in May, while Almería Airport will have a new connection to Bucharest in Hungary.
This high season, travellers will have access to 76 cities connected to Sevilla, including 20 domestic and 56 international destinations.
New routes are being introduced, including flights to Düsseldorf and Baden-Baden in Germany, Copenhagen in Denmark, Basel in Switzerland and Istanbul in Türkiye, which will also bring new airlines to the airport.
International connections are seeing significant growth, with a 32% increase in seats to Ireland, 26% to Germany, 15.9% to Switzerland, 14.8% to Portugal and 14.3% to the United Kingdom.
Ryanair is expanding its offerings with two new connections starting this Sunday: Baden-Baden with two weekly flights and Rome with seven weekly operations.
Italy remains the country with the most routes to Sevilla, with 13 cities connected, including Bari, Bologna and Milan.
Vueling is also strengthening its presence in the Andalucían capital, adding an aircraft to its base and introducing new connections to the Canary Islands, upping its Tenerife North route by nine weekly flights. Las Palmas will now have 6 flights, Fuerteventura, three, and Lanzarote will have two.
The airline is also increasing frequencies on existing routes, such as Palma de Mallorca and Santiago de Compostela, and adding seven weekly frequencies to the London-Gatwick route.
Eurowings will maintain its direct service to Düsseldorf, solidifying Sevilla's position in the German market.
Other notable connections include flights to Istanbul via Pegasus Airlines, Bucharest via Blue Air and direct flights to Warsaw and Krakow in Poland.
