Renfe January super sale arrives with train tickets starting at just 7 euros across Spain
The promotion includes discounts on AVE, Avlo and Long Distance routes for trips starting January 20
The January sales are in full swing in Spain, with savvy shoppers enjoying massive discounts in the post-Christmas lull. It’s not just the stores that are slashing prices though, and those planning to beat the January blues with a new year trip can take advantage of some incredible train offers.
Renfe has just announced the return of its ever-popular ‘Superprecios’, or ‘Superprices’, mega sale, with tickets starting at just 7 euros each way for adults. The promotion, valid for journeys from January 20, includes discounts on AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Intercity, Euromed and AVE International trains, according to the operator.
But you’ll need to be quick as Renfe’s Superprecio super sale is only available until Tuesday January 14.
Prices for Avlo trains, which operate on the South, East and Northeast corridors, will start at 7 euros. Likewise, journeys on AVE and Long Distance trains, such as Madrid-Valencia or Madrid-León, will be available from 14 euros.
Other sought-after routes included in this campaign include Madrid-Oviedo tickets starting at 18 euros, Barcelona-Bilbao from 20 euros and Madrid-Barcelona for 21 euros. There will also be transversal tickets such as Valencia-Sevilla for 25 euros or Zaragoza-Málaga for 29 euros.
As a added bonus, Renfe will allow passengers to upgrade their basic tickets for just one euro, giving travellers even more flexibility. By opting for the ‘Choose’ option for this small extra charge, customers will then be able to change their reservation for free at a later date.
In addition, passengers who travel to France on Renfe’s International AVE can upgrade from a Basic ticket to a Elige Confort ticket for just 6 euros.
Tickets for this promotion will be available while supplies last.
