New international flight announced for Corvera airport from March 2027
The new flight will operate three times a week from March 30, giving passengers another direct option for European travel

Murcia's regional president Fernando López Miras has announced a new direct flight connection from the Region of Murcia airport (Corvera Airport) to Amsterdam, with the service due to start on March 30 2027.
Flights will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and will be operated by Transavia. Tickets are due to go on sale from 9:00 am on Wednesday September 16 through the airline's website.
Announcing the new connection, López Miras said it would provide “a new boost to international tourism and the Region’s connectivity”.
The route comes at a useful time for the Region's tourism sector, with the Netherlands already an important source of international visitors to Murcia. Between January and July this year, 54,796 Dutch tourists visited the Region, accounting for 7.4% of all international visitors.
The new route will connect Murcia with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, giving passengers from the Region a direct flight to the Dutch capital. It could also be useful for anyone heading further afield, with connections to destinations across Europe and the United States.
It will also give Dutch passengers a direct route to Murcia and the Costa Cálida, without the need to travel through another Spanish airport.
The announcement comes as Murcia airport continues to see passenger numbers increase. Aena figures show that 575,312 passengers used the airport between January and July 2026, 9% more than during the same period last year.
There were 4,894 aircraft movements over the same period, up 15.9% compared with the first seven months of 2025.
With Volotea also recently hinting at plans to expand at Corvera, including the possibility of setting up a base at the airport, this latest announcement looks like another sign that things could be moving in the right direction.
