Top tapas at eight bar-restaurants in the city centre of Cartagena

The city of Cartagena is currently in the midst of its annual La Mar de Músicas festival, and one of the most popular sideshows alongside the main concerts is the tapas route which is sponsored by the Town Hall and brewers Estrella de Levante.

Each bar/restaurant taking part is featuring a special tapa during the event, all of them inspired by islands of the Mediterranean, and these are on sale at 4 euros per helping including a small “quinto” Estrella de Levante. The bars taking part are A la Barra, Alviento, Anyo, Bahía, Cuarentaytrés, El Pellizco, Gilda & Cía, Larvi and La Tita Fina, with the specialities including a steak sandwich with tartare sauce and cream of egg yolk and soy (Alviento) and the more traditional large ham croquette (A la Barra), although all of the tapas offered look and sound delicious!
