ARCHIVED - Crisp and clear week ahead while temperatures continue to drop: Andalusia weather forecast January 23-29
It will be a cold week in Andalusia with temperatures lower than last week, but it will be sunny and not as windy
After the rain and dark clouds of last week, not to mention the very strong winds that left weather warnings in various parts of Andalusia, the forecast for this week is for sunny and settled weather in most places, though it will still be cold.
The only place in the region that is forecast rain is around Gibraltar on Tuesday January 24 and Wednesday 25, and there will be snow in the Sierra Nevada and some other high-altitude parts, where temperatures at night-time will drop as low as -9ºC.
While that is at the extreme end, temperatures in general will be much colder than last week, with minimums in most other areas hovering around the 0-2ºC mark. In the inland areas of Granada and Jaén, maximums will barely reach higher than 3-5ºC in the middle of the day, but on the coastline near Malaga and Almeria, as well as further westward towards Seville, daytime highs will be around 15-17ºC.
For the most part, it will be sunny with slightly cloudy skies – a perfect, bright and crisp winter’s week.
