ARCHIVED - Camposol bridge repairs near completion in Mazarron

A proposal for more permanent restoration will be considered when the current essential work is completed

Emergency repair work on the bridge between Sectors B and C of the Camposol residential development in Mazarrón is nearing completion, having been started as recently as April 8 in response to persistent lobbying by the Camposol Business Association and Silvana Buxton, the councillor for Camposol.

A visit was paid to the site on Monday by Gaspar Miras, the Mayor of Mazarrón, who inspected the work in the company of councillors Ginés Campillo and Silvana Buxton as well as Julie Townsend, the President of the Camposol Business Association.

During the visit Mr Miras and Mr Campillo explained that although the current work is now practically completed, a proposal for further and more permanent remedies to the problems caused by the dilapidation of the bridge will be processed by the Council over the course of the next few weeks, after which, assuming the proposal is accepted, the project will go out to tender.
