Andalucía weekend weather forecast October 8-11: Easing off, but the coast keeps a watchful eye on showers
A quieter few days for most of the region, with coastal showers and mountain activity the main story as temperatures hold in the mid to high twenties
After a week of widespread rain and storm risk across Andalucía, this period brings a calmer feel, though not entirely dry. The action is more localised now, focussed on the Mediterranean coast and the eastern mountains, while much of the interior gets a relatively settled few days. Temperatures remain mild, keeping that warm autumnal feel going a little longer.Thursday October 8
Andalucía weather forecast, Thursday October 8A partly cloudy to clear start, with cloud building in the eastern interior mountains during the day and the chance of occasional showers, which could be locally heavy. Temperatures are broadly unchanged or slightly lower on the Mediterranean coast, nudging up elsewhere. Seville and Huelva are the warmest at around 31°C. Winds are light and variable inland, turning easterly along the Atlantic coast in the afternoon, with moderate easterlies through the Strait of Gibraltar.
Friday October 9
Andalucía weather forecast, Friday October 9The Mediterranean coast takes centre stage today. Low cloud lingers along the coast with a chance of occasional showers, potentially heavy and with thunderstorms possible near Ceuta. Inland and to the west, skies are mostly clear. Temperatures change little across most of the region, though the Mediterranean coast sees a slight dip in maximums. Moderate easterlies along the coasts strengthen to occasionally strong through the Strait, keeping Cádiz and Tarifa breezy. Elsewhere winds are light and variable. A pleasant day in the mid to high twenties for most.
Saturday October 10
Andalucía weather forecast, Saturday October 10Cloudy skies return along the Mediterranean coast, with the chance of occasional showers there through the day. Partly cloudy elsewhere, with a quieter feel inland. Temperatures hold steady with little change across the board, though minimums ease slightly in the far west and east. Málaga should keep a watchful eye on coastal showers, while Córdoba and the interior enjoy a more settled Saturday. Winds are light to moderate along the coasts with moderate easterlies in the Strait, light and variable inland.
Sunday October 11
Andalucía weather forecast, Sunday October 11A mostly settled close to the period. Partly cloudy skies, with some cloud development in the mountains during the afternoon and low cloud intervals along the Mediterranean coast that could bring occasional light rain. Temperatures change little, with most places in the high twenties. Jaén and the interior stay dry and comfortable, while Almería on the eastern coast may catch a light shower or two. Winds are light and predominantly westerly throughout.
The week ends noticeably quieter than it started, and while the coast and mountains keep things interesting, for most of Andalucía it's a gentle and rather pleasant October weekend.
